A group of instructors and trainees took the weekend to accomplish some training towards diver qualifications, both Ocean Diver and Sports Diver. This is the first of our weekend training events. Look out for more. We will still do the ‘midweek one days’ but less frequently.
The venue Eccleston Delph, a little quieter and murkier than Capernwray but with a good cafe.
Good progress was made by all towards their qualification goal. We ended with one new Sports Diver, one just to do theory test to qualify at Sports Diver. One of the Ocean Diver trainees was first time in open water.
May is a nice time to start, as the water has warmed up nicely (10 degrees) for drysuits !
As always with diving, there were a few issues with kit but these were managed well by the group.
