We enjoyed a fantastic weekend of diving in St Abbs, thanks to the excellent support of Paul and Rachel Crowe at Dive St Abbs.
Some early arrivals made the most of the opportunity to get an extra dive in, including a visit to the Glanmire. Across the weekend, the trip offered something for everyone. For several newer members, this marked their first UK sea dive, while others were returning to sea diving after a break or revisiting St Abbs following recent qualification. One returning member also achieved and had a number of competencies signed off, congratulations!
A few divers experienced the occasional “mystery” (and not-so-mystery!) drysuit leaks. However, most issues were quickly resolved on site, allowing diving to continue with minimal disruption. As always, dive sites were carefully selected in collaboration with Paul to suit the conditions and the group.
Beyond the diving, the weekend also offered a great opportunity to socialize, with a group meal in Coldingham in between the two days diving.
True to St Abbs’ reputation, divers were rewarded with an impressive variety of marine life and scenic underwater landscapes throughout the weekend.
We’re already looking forward to returning in September and to many more trips in the years ahead.
