Congratulations to Callum Carr, now a qualified Ocean Diver.
Callum started at the back end of last year with the pool sessions and theory, then continued into this year braving the quarry in February to start open water training. He successfully completed this week, in much more benign conditions. The sun was shining and the water temperature at 13 degrees !
We did two dives during the day. The first covering a review of dive leading skills, an explore of part the quarry (Capernwray https://www.dive-site.co.uk/) getting to the pilot boat and returning via the 6m shelf to undertake a CBL. The second with Callum demonstrating dive leadership skills and getting to the Podsnap before having a go at a DSMB launch from the 6m platform.
