The club is planning on running two weekend trips to St Abbs on the weekends of May 31st-June 2nd and September 6th-8th 2024. Diving is Saturday and Sunday with 2 dives each day with Paul Crowe on Shore Diver Home – Dive St Abbs
This is very varied diving and I never tire of it even after 20+ year going. The are some great walks along the coast if that’s your thing with Berwick and Edinburgh close by.
The diving is suitable for all levels of experience, especially those who have never been on a dive boat before. The diving sites are close by and the boat travels back to harbour after each dive.
The diving is on a hardboat with a lift and WC. The trip is open to all qualified divers, so plenty time for trainees to get qualified for this fantastic opportunity.
Accommodation for the weekend is in the Rock House bunkhouse (Also managed by Paul Crowe) which is on the harbour. The bunkhouse has 2 4 person rooms and one twin room. There is also a kitchen with cooking facilities and a kit store room next door. There is an ensuite room option as well. If you want to come as a family there are some other options including caravans / camping.
Plan is to travel up on the Friday, staying in the bunkhouse Friday and Saturday night and travel back following the last dive on Sunday. There is a good café on the harbour in St Abbs and other eating options in Coldingham and Eyemouth.
The weekend is priced at £210 per person.
