AIM
To train a diver who can dive in open water, in
controlled conditions to a maximum depth of 20m
under the supervision of a Dive Marshall.
THE COURSE
Comprises a combination of;
● classroom lessons (covering 7 theory
modules & an assessment),
●
lessons in the swimming pool (to cover 5
‘sheltered water’ modules), &
●
open water lesson dives (to cover 5 ‘open
water’
modules).
(all theory modules, written exam, and dives
must be approved and signed off by a qualified
BSAC Instructor in order to pass the OD
qualification)
YOUR COMMITMENT
To enable the course to run smoothly for
yourself, other students, and particularly the
Instructors, it is important that you are
committed to learning to dive before starting
your OD training course.
